Amy Evans

Amy L Evans, MEd, BCBA, IBA has been committed to educational change since 2008, working in private learning centers, public school classrooms, home-based intervention and homeschool settings with learners with and without disability diagnoses. She holds a master’s degree in special education from the Pennsylvania State University (2013) and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Spanish language from the University of Nevada, Reno (2009). Amy attended Morningside’s Summer Institute in 2012 and has since worked closely with many mentors in the behavioral education community to develop her skills and knowledge across elements of the Morningside Model of Generative Instruction.

In addition to consulting with Morningside Teacher’s Academy, Amy is the owner and Executive Director of Flex Academics, a comprehensive educational support company serving families all over the US. Amy also leads Project Blue™, an intensive program for practitioners who want to bring the power of Precision Teaching into their tutoring businesses or behavior analytic practices.

In her day-to-day, Amy specializes in designing and delivering academic coaching to kids and teens who have historically struggled in school, but her expertise extends to training and systems support for organizations, schools, and individual practitioners.

Amy has supported nearly 40 small-to-mid-size organizations in adoption of the Standard Celeration Chart and fluency-based instructional approaches. Her ongoing dissemination efforts include consulting, writing playbooks and guides, contributing to books and research, and creating high-quality in-person and online professional development experiences in the areas of effective instructional design and delivery, efficient practice, and data-driven decision-making.

Amy currently lives in Denver, Colorado, but she travels as often as possible (especially to Spain and Portugal) and enjoys running, hiking, chasing waterfalls and searching for the world’s best vegan food.
